We will stroll around the area and take photos.

I will coach you to find the view that will best express your vision, and we will turn them into stained glass designs, fuse them with rich colors using my unique (and very easy!) method, then quilt them into a wall hanging that will cement your memories of this wonderful trip for years, -and give you the tools to do it again, at home, with all your travel memories and pictures.

Day by day:

 Day 1: We'll get together for a short video presentation of  choosing a photo, creating a pattern, and the techniques we/ll be using. Then we'll go out and take photos, talking about how each scene, landscape, close up, detail etc could be composed to use for stained glass designing.

Day 2: We'll enlarge, print, and create our designs, and ready our background, and cutting pattern. We'll choose fabrics and prepare them, and start cutting

Note: For those students who would like to use my photos/designs of the area, most of  these steps will be bypassed, and they can move on to create their piece

Days 3 and 4: We'll cut and fuse, with a few breaks to look at photos of scenes (we can take more at the market,etc) and if desired, create more stained glass designs for later

Day 5 and 6: We'll  cut backing and batting, "baste", then  quilt and applique in one step

and be ready to take it home, square it up, and bind it (some students may get all of this done in class, depending on the complexity of your patterns
