Students will create a personalized keepsake remembrance of their activities and experiences in Abruzzo.  They will create an 18-inch by 12-inch fused fabric collage on which beaded imagery will be focal points, and embellish photo transfer images.   During the course of the workshop, students will learn and explore many beading techniques which the instructor has developed. 

They will apply these beading techniques to recreate imagery of the Abruzzo Region on their fabric collage. 

1.       Fuse fabric to fabric collage background and attach batting layer to the back of the collage.

2.       Learn important beading tips and skills to make beading time pleasurable via short pre-recorded videos

3.       Learn a myriad of fabric beading techniques to create beaded imagery of the region via short pre-recorded videos, instructional illustrations, and workshop samples.

Including beaded:

·         Lace

·         Gold jewelry medallions and chains

·         Grapes

·         Olives

·         Flower variations

·         Foliage variations

·         Words

·         Attachments of small found objects

4.       Photos taken of the region will be scanned, printed, and transferred on fabric with TAP and applied to collage.

5.       Once a technique is learned, students can pick the location and amount of the technique applied to their personal collage. Individual creativity will be encouraged for a truly personal one of a kind keepsake.
